Psoriasis...what is it?
Psoriasis is a condition on the skin where it you show symptoms such as:

- which can be itch.
- It can appear either on your elbows, knees, legs, scalp or even worse all over!
- Flaky dry skin
There are loads of different types of psoriasis, depending on the location of the patches. your GP will be able to determine what kind you have.
What causes Psoriasis?
Psoriasis is caused by skin cells turn over a lot quicker than usual. There is no explanation as to why this happens however research shows that it could be due to a weak immune system.
Normally skin turn over takes around 3-4 weeks. However, those who suffer with psoriasis turn over their skin cells between 3-7 days.
I myself suffer with psoriasis, which appeared on my knees first and then on my arms. They were red scaly patches which grew bigger over time. The dryness and itching would irritate me so I formulated the Nourishing Body oil to help with these symptoms. Nothing happens over night, it took over 10 months for my psoriasis patches to disappear. Patience is key!
